The West Coast Museum Forum is a loose confederation of museums based in the #Weskus region of South Africa. It was formed in 2016 with the view of pooling ideas, learning from one another and to promote the museums, both to local communities, the youth and visitors.

The themes of the museums are varied, from San culture at !Khwa ttu, paleontology at the West Coast Fossil Park, specialist focus such as the wheat or fishing industries, to the telling of the many local stories.

It is the aim of the Forum to create a better understanding of the diverse cultures which shape our national character and promote a deeper understanding of our society both past and present.
