Description

Saint du Barrys is situated at the foot of the Cedarberg in the historic town of Clanwilliam, 220 km from Cape Town, on the N7, the main road to Namibia. The coastal town of Lambert’s Bay is 60 km to the west of Clanwilliam, and the Namibian border is 470 km to the north.

This Country Lodge is more than a Guest House or Bed and Breakfast : it is a home with a reputation for comfort, personal attention, friendliness and helpfulness. The Swiss and Scottish backgrounds of the hosts, Wally and Joan, create an atmosphere of cheerfulness and generosity and the friendly dogs and cats are at hand to create a home from home for guests who miss their pets. The parrot, Ramius the Red October, is capable of amusing an audience for hours.

Restaurants within safe, easy walking distance. Major banks close by.

Saint du Barrys is part of the Rooibos Route and offers Rooibos hospitality in our guest rooms and dining room. Rooibos only grows in a radius of 150 km around Clanwilliam – nowhere else in the world!
