Description

Situated in the picturesque main road of Clanwilliam, in the historical heart of the village, this beautiful old building dating from 1850 is a National Monument with lots of character and charm. Rectory Guest House is conveniently located withing walking distance of the tourism information office, coffee shops and restaurants.

 

The house is set in beautiful gardens, with a sparkling swimming pool that brings a welcome relief on hot summer days and shaded sitting area provide a pleasant spot to relax out of doors.

 

Inside the atmosphere is one of gentle restfulness and old world charm. High timber ceilings, gleaming wooden floors and generous proportions form the background to an elegant lifestyle. Guest bedrooms are tastefully furnished and all fitted with comfortable double beds. Meals are served in the center courtyard which has a lovely alfresco feeling.

 

Clanwilliam is near several world famous attractions – visit the Rooibos capital of the world, see the Namaqualand spendour each year in early spring, or visit the Cederberg Mountains, home to the endangered Cedar tree hidden high among rusty shades of wonderous rock formations.
