River Farm Cottage is situated in the Winterhoek Mountain Catchment area of the southern Cederberg. The self-catering off-the-grid cottage offers upmarket accommodation which allows you to escape the trappings of modern technology and enjoy the remote and pristine surroundings.
Located on the banks of the Theerivier, not far from Citrusdal, the cottage is accessed via a dirt road that requires a 4×4 or high clearance vehicle. Once you have arrived there is little to disturb the peace, other than the buzz of the cicadas, the burbling of the stream and occasional barking from baboon troops in the surrounding cliffs.
The self-catering cottage offers upmarket accommodation comprising two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open-plan lounge and kitchen, and plenty of outdoor dining and relaxing space. There is no electricity but provision of solar lamps, a gas stove and hob, a wood burning fireplace and choice of braai/barbeque areas will ensure that you have a comfortable stay.
