Indie Ale

Bernard & Susan Kruger are a husband and wife team from Porterville in the Western Cape. They own and run a start-up craft brewery (www.indieale.co.za) and have recently taken ownership of their small family farm, Kleine Liefde.

Bernard is a musician turned brewer and Susan comes from a construction background and has an MBA from Stellenbosch University.

The two have recently discovered Permaculture and finding that it resonates with their value system, have decided to redesign their farm based on Permaculture principles.

They will share their experience with the process thus far by providing some insight into what Permaculture is about and giving an introduction to the Permaculture design process based on their vision for their farm.
